Ours does not have a consistent grind it is more of slight grind, 1 or 2 seconds to the next slight grind. The blades are going faster than that even on low. Do you think that is the same as you are describing?

Bad circuit breaker?

My wiring looks a bit different. There are two things of wire coming in to the light fixture box. Black from the first one is connected to white on the second one, and black on the second one is connected to the light. All three ground wires are connected. White from the first one is just connected to the light, though. Does this video still apply to how mine's wired? I'm assuming connecting the same colors together like in the video is probably a bad idea in my case.

Wrong! You should ALWAYS twist the pipe or fitting to distribute glue evenly, not just insert them together at the marked lines as you did.
